Happy Mail Project!

These past few weeks I've been working very hard on my blog, mainly behind the scenes. I've now organized my Happy Mail Project and have requested a .org website. You can find the link to the blog it currently is here. I'm still working on the styling, but the most important part is ready. You can fill out the form to request and take part in different aspects of my project. For those of you who'd like to receive some nice mail there's the option to request it. It depends on demand if I can send it straight away, but I will try to do my very best to be as fast as possible. You can also request happy mail for someone else. There are several options to do swaps. Please send only new items to your partner. I've chosen to have different categories for different budgets. I have experience organizing swaps, so I will keep postage costs into account and of course you will get instructions from me once I send you the details of your partner. If you'd like to be part of my team to send regular happy mail to people who need some cheering up you can tick that box to put your name on my list. Then last, but not least, there's a point system. Everyone who sends happy mail and tells me about it will receive a point. I will send happy mail packages to members regularly and would love to post photos of your mail on my website.

Everything that's being sent through this project has to be for fun, free of charge for the receiver and from the kindness of someone's heart. I hope you will join my Happy Mail Project to spread some extra happiness and joy.

Happy Mail & Giveaway

Sophie from 23 Review Street sent me this super sweet package. She knows me so well! We were talking about Debbie Macomber and when she found out I haven't read any of her books yet she sent me this one. It looks so pretty, you can't see the glitter on the photo, but it's there. I also love the book mark and the sweets.

I won this book and I'm so happy with it!

Linn B Halton signed this book for me, it's really special. I'm very lucky I won this prize.

The cute owl card is from my parents and the stunning postcard from Lago Maggiore is from my friend Simona from Sky's Book Corner.blogspot.nl. There you can read more about her trip.

I love my Happy Mail from Carmel! The top postcard is signed and the owl and second postcard are so cute, I'm very lucky I've met Carmel. You can find her blog here.

I received these great gifts from Niekie. She also sent me a really sweet card with a lovely poem about friendship, which put a big smile on my face.

Katie sent me a letter and this amazing little book. It was such a great and sweet surprise. I know how busy she is and it means so much that she took the time to write me a letter. The little book is both cute and amazing.

This is a sneak peek of what's going to be inside my next Happy Mail package. One winner will receive these very cute keychains made by Beadpassion and some other lovely surprises. And this person will also be able to nominate a friend who will also get a surprise from me.

The Best #happymail Ever!

Yesterday I received such great #happymail that I couldn't stop smiling. This photo is of something that is extra special for me. I received some amazing home made gifts from Tanya's daughters Sian and Ffion. These gifts put such a huge smile on my face, I love them! The girls are really clever, they're so handy and creative. All the gifts are really pretty, I can't stop admiring them! I sent them happy mail a few weeks ago and they've made me all of this to thank me. I love, love, love this!
Happy mail is about making someone happy with something nice in the post. Sian and Ffion know exactly how to do that. I think they've done such an amazing job. I want to tell them how much I appreciate it with this:
SIAN & FFION: THANK YOU VERY MUCH, I LOVE IT!

Thank you Sharon for your wonderful package, I love everything you sent!

Emma sent me these amazing gifts. We don't know each other very well yet, but she managed to choose the perfect things for me. I'm so happy with this package!

On this photo you can see some prizes that I won. They look so cheerful and festive, I just had to share them.

I've started doing some crafts again and have made these bookmarks. I will send them as happy mail, but I haven't chosen the recipients yet.

This is the box I used for my Ninja Book Swap. I decorated it, so it would look cheerful. I hope my swap partner will like the result.

I'm giving away 2 kawaii #happymail prizes. The winner will receive something personal and cute. I usually give away at least two different prizes. This giveaway is international. I'm sending a tweet or email to the winner. The winner then has to reply within 60 hours. Good luck!

Mail

photo credit: zizzybaloobah via photopin cc

I've always loved mail. Ever since the big sister of a friend gave me some stationery when I was 9 years old I wanted to write letters. At first I wrote letters to my family. I've corresponded with my grandparents for years. I also had a penpal, a girl who was about the same age. We met when we were both on holiday in Switzerland. Unfortunately we didn't stay in touch, but writing and receiving those letters opened a whole new world for me. Since that moment I've always had penpals. Even though life gets in the way sometimes I try to stay in touch with the ones who have become dear friends. Over the years I've met quite a few of them in person. I'm really lucky, because now I have a few close friendships with people who don't live in the same city or sometimes not even in the same country. I've met my best friend through penpalling. We've been friends for almost 15 years now, so soon we have something to celebrate.
I initially started my #happymail project to get back into sending mail after I had to take a break for a few months. It's different from penpalling, but because of it I again meet a lot of great people. I'm grateful for that. Today I packed a lot of envelopes and it was such a nice thing to do. There are quite a few ways to send snail mail. Some are just basic and then it's only the content that matters. Others vary in looks and size. There are so many ways to be creative with mail. From sending a nice poem to creating mail art. It's all fun to do and I've tried a lot of things. I still want to broaden my horizons and am planning on sending as much fun and wonderful mail as possible. If it makes someone else's day it makes my day as well.

Happy (Birthday) Mail Giveaway!

On these photos you can see some of the things I've sent as Happy Mail. When I'm giving away a #happymail prize I always make sure the winner will get two small gifts and a personal message from me. I love sending and receiving mail and this project has become a lot bigger than I could have ever imagined. I'm going to continue for as long as people will like it. I still have new addresses on my list and older ones of the people I'd like to make happy again with something cheerful in their mailbox. It's time for a new giveaway. The prize will be something festive, but of course I will keep it a surprise again.

I would like to thank all of the people who have sent me birthday mail. There's a huge pile waiting for me on the table. I know I can't restrain myself until the morning, so at midnight I'm going to start opening everything I've been sent. I can't wait! I'm feeling blessed because of all the love and sweet messages I've received, it's really amazing and that's the best gift there is!
