Olivia (Liv for friends) hasn't had an easy life. After her parents got divorced she traveled around a lot with her mother. Because of her mother's lifestyle and poor choices Liv has had her fair deal of traumatic events. When she gets the chance to start college with a scholarship she grabs this opportunity with both hands. She wants to make something of herself and be a better person than her mother is.

On her first day at college she meets professor Dean West. He is HOT, sweet and really a knight in shining armour. He is a professor who teaches Medieval History. Soon they fall in love and Liv finds the courage and trust to tell him about her past. Liv always puts Dean's needs first. After he finds a career for himself they settle down. Now that Liv has time to think about her life she finds out that she has no idea what to do and who she is.

Dean is every woman's dream. He is thoughtful, romantic and sweet. He loves Liv so much and that shows in everything that he does. He has helped her through some of her darkest memories and he has been her first in very many things. The time has come now to be open and honest about everything and everyone. If he doesn't it will tear them apart. He can't let that happen...

This story really sucked me in from the very first page. It is so sweet, steamy and intriguing at the same time. I loved to read about the pure love Liv and Dean have for each other. My heart ached when their love faltered and they had to fight to get over their struggles. This book is raw because of the pure emotion! I flew through the pages and I couldn't finish the chapters fast enough. I will absolutely read the other two books from this series as I cannot wait to find out what will happen next with Dean and Liv.
