Review by Anniek

When Shelley finds out that she is adopted and why she is born in the first place this shocks her gravely. Everything she has ever known is getting another meaning. She doesn't have much time to think about it though, because a killer is after her. Sherry was part of a terrible experiment. In this experiment 13 kids have been born and 12 of them have found their deaths. Shelley is the last one. Together with her best friend she is trying to find out more about what happened all those years ago.

In search for the doctor who made this all happen Shelley is shocked about what she finds. Trying to survive a ruthless killer she decides to run no more. When instead she takes on the one who wants to end her life, like he's done to all the others, she shows that she is not that young innocent girl anymore. Could she be everything she fears?

This story had me on the edge of my seat and it kept me there. It is gripping and scary, but also filled with love. Being a mom myself it hit a nerve reading about babies who were born only to be part of an experiment. James Morris did a very good job bringing the characters to life. This book did not let me go until long after I finished reading it. I loved and enjoyed this story very much and I am looking forward to reading more books by James Morris!

  1. Wow this sounds great. Fabulous review x

  2. This sounds really good, but the parts about the babies being used in experiments would be hard to read.
