I love Scribbelicious which is the shop to buy something for a book lover.
In this wonderful Welsh shop you can find jewelry, bookmarks and homewares.
Everything is bookish, decorated with pictures from books and quotes.
I've asked Nicola, the owner of this fantastic shop to tell me a bit more about the business.
Scribbelicious is a
hand-made jewellery business that is all about books. Based in a
converted barn, their studio in Wales is full to the rafters of the
damaged old books we have rescued to turn into pendants and bangles,
earrings and keyrings... We make jewellery that isn't just pretty, it
says something about what you think, what you read and what's important
to do. Chains with brains!
The Royal Shakespeare Company, Shakespeare's Globe in London and the Brontë
Parsonage at Haworth are just three of our high-profile stockists and
they also supply Literary festivals with themed pieces both in the U.K.
and America. It isn't just about the big sellers, though: the busy
Scribblers also make custom items for individuals, creating bespoke
pieces for very reasonable prices.
At
the heart of Scribbelicious is the sense of individuality, and
quirkiness is celebrated. A big seller is the bespoke book bracelet,
where you choose a charm from each of your favourite books: a great
present for a bibliophile (if they can actually limit themselves just 10
favourites – that's the hard part!) Themed literary weddings are also a
speciality.
We also support lots of charitable ventures, especially book-related
causes, and supply a number of lovely independent bookshops round the
U.K. It really is all about the words: this is statement jewellery at
its best!
What I like about this shop is that everything can be personalized, you can choose your own quotes and ask Scribbelicious to make something for you.
I love the idea behind this bookish jewelry. It's amazing to wear what you like to read.
Enjoy doing some lovely shopping!
One very lucky reader of my blog will receive three Scribbelicious prizes:
A C.S. Lewis mug, a Hamlet bag charm and a Gatsby pendant and earring set.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite quote is kind of long but it's worthwhile "Do not believe in anything simply because you have heard it. Do not believe in anything simply because it is spoken and rumored by many. Do not believe in anything because it is found written in your religious books. Do not believe in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders. Do not believe in traditions because they have been handed down for many generations. But after observation and analysis, when you find anything that agrees with reason and is conducive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it."
