The Love List by Eve Devon

Falling in love is just not on Nora King’s To Do List…
Neither is accidentally super-gluing her shoe to her hand right before the biggest presentation of her life!
With all the hard work she’d put into securing the family business after her father’s death, Nora has no choice but to accept help from a knight in shining armour.
Disaster relief worker Ethan Love is still haunted by his last deployment, and desperate for distraction. He’s in town to ask Nora for a major favour, and swooping in to save her presentation is a sure way to get her on side.
As Ethan sticks around and helps Nora through her grief, her barriers tumble down…but will she dare to swap her To Do lists for a How to Fall in Love list?

Nora King is working very hard to keep the family business afloat. After her father's death she's feeling angry and sad. Multitasking isn't something she can do very well and Nora accidentally glues her shoe to her hand just before an important presentation. Fortunately there is help in the form of Ethan Love. He didn't come to see Nora to help her though. He actually needs a big favor, something Nora might not be willing to do. The favor is for his brother. Ethan is helping him, but he also needs help himself. He's having nightmares, because his last assignment didn't go well and even though he tries to save the world, he might have made a mistake. Both Nora and Ethan are having issues and they both don't count on falling in love. Will Nora be able to open up to Ethan and let him in or will she stick to her plan to run a business without any interference?
I liked The Love List a lot. I couldn't put it down and just had to know what would happen between Nora and Ethan. I read this book in one sitting. Ethan has a great sense of humor and I liked him from the start. Nora has issues with her self confidence. She has to lead a big company on her own and she doesn't know if she's doing it right. I liked her strong character and her kindness towards others. Uncomfortable situations are her middle name and sometimes that was quite funny. There's a lot of chemistry between Ethan and Nora, but they're also able to talk with each other which gave the story some depth. In my opinion this combination really worked. The Love List is an easy and fun read and I enjoyed it very much.

  1. Sounds like a great book. Glueing her hand to a shoe is something I would do b

  2. It's something I would do as well, never give me super glue, it won't end well :)
