ReplyDeleteI still write letters by hand and mail them out. I love the time it takes to personally write out a letter withyour own script and style and sharing that piece of yourself with others. I also love pretty stationery and pens and that this kind of mail can really make someone else happy. It's so much more intimate than an instant email.

ReplyDeleteI'm not a big fan of my handwriting, so I admit that I type my letters sometimes. I still send letters in the mail, but only on birthdays and special events. My mom still mails letters to her friends, and she's almost 90. If she can do it, anyone can. :)

ReplyDeleteI love sending snail mail! I grew up before the age of the internet and phone calls were just far too expensive. I had pen friends and loved getting their letters. I love the Happy Mail project as you know, as getting something nice in the post is the BEST feeling!

I send a few cards by hand with notes, but it's been a while since I wrote letters by hand. I did used to print them out on the computer and send them (I'm a very fast typist) but that has also been awhile!
