Lavender Loves Knitting Dreams

I love knitting dreams, it's such a great shop and the amigurumi are very pretty. I featured them on my blog before and couldn't wait to write an entire post about these beauties. I've asked the seller some questions, so you can find out more about her and her shop.

1) It would be great if you could tell a little bit about yourself

My name is Aintzi. I’m a 29 year old woman living in northern Spain with my boyfriend. We work in a big old house that we have restored in a rural area that is full of fabrics, yarns and photographic equipment.

2) How and when did your Etsy adventure start?

I started my Etsy adventure when I was 22 years old. It was a hobby first but I got bored quickly of my office work so I decided to quit and try to make a living from my creations. Almost no one understood this decision but 7 years after it I still don't regret my choice.

3) Where did you learn your craft?

My grandmothers were seamstresses. Even though I never met them (because unfortunately they died before I was born) since I was a child I was always playing with fabrics and threads and trying to create things. When I was a teenager, my aunt taught me how to crochet and knit but I felt that following patterns was extremely boring, so I decided to crochet and knit “free-style” and started creating my own creations – mixing everything I had learnt from my family and from the internet.

4) What inspires you?

I am really inspired by Japanese anime aesthetics and amigurumi hobbyists that I discover on the internet. Amigurumi is the Japanese art of crocheting plushies. Although my creations are not properly amigurumi, I use a crocheting technique inspired by this Japanese art to create some of the parts that give my teddy bears a unique look.

I often visit Aintzi's shop, the amigurumi are very cute and the pictures are a joy to look at. They're beautiful. I one hundred percent sure you will enjoy them as much as I do. Who would be able to resist something this adorable? Have fun shopping!
