La Mia Casa is my Etsy Seller of the Week! & Giveaway

My Etsy Seller of the Week is Mia from La Mia Casa. I love pocket mirrors and that is how I discovered Mia's shop. Her items look beautiful and romantic. They are perfect for weddings and other festive occasions.  Mia has sold over 10.000 items already. Especially her garlands are really popular. She has customers from all over the world who are all really enthusiastic about her paper creations.

I've asked Mia a few questions to find out more about her and her shop.

1) Could you tell me a little bit more about your profession and the beginning of your Etsy career?

I am a graphic designer and an art historian. I started my Etsy shop in 2008, first with Scrabble tile pendants/necklaces, only to add the Euro coin pendants, my original idea and a very unique product that nobody else makes. Two years ago I added the paper garlands, mainly with idea of a wedding decor, but also as a home decoration item. We now also make personalised pocket mirrors, as wedding favours.

2) What do you think is the reason for your success?

Our shop is blooming, and we believe it's because we are very honest in what we do: we truly care about each and every client who purchases something in our little shop, we passionately love what we do, we keep our prices friendly, and we are so excited about every new idea that materialises as a new product that we make!

3) Where do you find inspiration for the things you make?

In nature, vintage books and photography, in our travels. Every day brings me a new joy of creativity and creating.

If you're looking for a sweet and romantic gift or decoration you will love La Mia Casa. The vintage look and feel makes her items special. You can also find some great Christmas decorations in the shop. It's time to start shopping for the holiday season...

One lucky winner will receive this amazing Birds of the World garland from Mia. This giveaway is worldwide, so anyone can enter. Good luck!

  4. I am! But my husband is also. He proposed to me when we went on a night flight around Downtown Dallas. We have our own small planes. It was so lovely

  5. I'm a romantic person. Last week my boyfriend and i just had our anniversary and i did a surprise for him for us to celebrate it even though we both had work and luckily he didn't figure it out until he was home. I baked him a cookie cake with candles. Decorated the room with lovely notes on the wall and a flower pathway and of course with his gifts.

  6. These little birds are so pretty. They would look perfect hanging in my little conservatory which I have recently commandeered as my writing spot!

  7. How can someone use something so normal, like a map, and make it into something spectacular- this bird garland?!? Beautiful!!
Most romantic thing I've done is make a scavenger hunt for my hubby, when we celebrated 10 yrs. my husbands most romantic gesture- getting us tickets to The Little Mermaid on Broadway and flew us there!! It was our 14th wedding anniversary. This year, we celebrated 21 years:).

My husband is a humble, but very good guitar player. He's been playing since he was a kid---with the same guitar he's had forever. The guitar had fallen off its stand and its neck broke. He was devastated. That very same day, I replaced it with a brand new one.

  10. I'm not a romantic person. The most romantic things I've ever done is buying a card for our 2nd anniversary.
