Kawaii Seller of the Month: Beagle Cakes Art! & Giveaway

My first Kawaii Seller of the Month is an Etsy seller who designs her own kawaii items. I think they're gorgeous and am so happy I stumbled upon this shop filled with wonderful, cheerful items. The name of the designer is Maggie and her shop is called BeagleCakes Art & Illustration.

In Maggie's shop you find a selection of the cutest stickers I've ever seen. She's also selling magnets, keychains, postcards, brooches and (personalized) drawings.

My absolute favorite is the customized manga design. I would love to see a version of myself in manga form. I love the idea! 

I asked Maggie two questions to get to know her a little bit better. And because it's such a great description of her and her art I will also show you what she's written on her about page.

About Maggie

'Art has been a passion of mine since I was 3 years-old. My dad would give me all the papers he no longer needed for work and let me draw on the backs of them. Naturally many of those drawings were any child's doodle of circles and lines, but my parents caught on that creative side in me and agreed that there was no harm in letting me explore further in the field of art and let it become a hobby in the future.

As a child I attended different art classes: from drawings, to paintings, as well as ceramics. Eventually this hobby turned to something I want to pursue in the long run. So here I am now, after studied Illustration in university I'm off to explore more and create new things everyday :)

How did I come up with the name of my shop? It's rather strange and random: I have 2 Beagles. And one day I was on my way home from work and stopped by to buy some doggie cake treats for one of their birthday and suddenly the word "BeagleCakes" just sprang into mind. And thus me shop is born.'

1) Where do you find your inspiration?

For my art, it really is a spur of the moment idea 99% of the time, from sitting inside a coffee shop or browsing around stores, sometimes I take in the first thing I see-- coffee and muffin, macaroon displays, etc.

2) Why did you choose Etsy?

I started Etsy after being recommended by a friend. It will help getting my work out there and meet other artists that share and sell similar work that I do.
