The house has soft, purple wisteria twining around the door. You step inside.

The hall is cool after the hot summer's day. The welcome is kind, and always warm.

Yet something makes you suspect life here can't be as perfect as it seems.
After all, the brightest smile can hide the darkest secret.

But wouldn't you pay any price to have a glorious place like this?

Welcome to Winterfold.
Martha Winter's family is finally coming home.

Martha misses her husband very much. Her family worries about her, because she seems to have lost it. Cat has returned from Paris to visit her grandmother. The truth about Daisy is out, but there are more secrets waiting to be revealed. Florence has learned a bit more about who she is, only nobody knows about that yet. It explains a lot about the relationship with her mother. She's waiting for the lawsuit to take place and she seems to be a lot more in control. Karen has moved in with Joe. His job is going well since Lucy has helped him. Lucy is unhappy with her job, she would rather write. She remembers the house and how this was her safe place where she could write down her thoughts.
In this third part of the series the reader has the chance to get to know more about David and Florence. It was interesting to read about David's childhood and the history of his career. I couldn't wait to see what happened with Florence. I read as fast as I could, because I wanted to know everything. It was also great to get updates about Cat, Joe and Lucy. They are all a bit stuck and I would love to know if they are able to do something about it. There are only a few days left until the final part will come out. I'm really curious to see how the story will end. I've enjoyed the first three novellas very much and now I'm looking forward to the finale.
