These are all examples of books I really liked. Being stuck in a good book is the most wonderful feeling there is. That's why I've decided to join this hop. ReplyDeleteMy favorite book this year so far has been Neil Gaiman's The Ocean at the End of the Lane because he is so great at mixing fantasy and reality. There is also such a wonderful mix of childhood moving into adulthood in this book.

I can't pick just one so Dream of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor,City of Heavenly Fire by Cassandra Clare,Midnight Thief by Livia Blackburne,Into the Still Blue by Veronica Rossi,Darcy's Voyage by Kara Louise are mine. I highly recommend them all but as most of them end a series. I highly recommend that series.

ReplyDeleteBook of the year? For me, it's an older one that I read for the first time this year. It's North and South by Elizabeth Gaskell. I had seen the BBC miniseries but had never read the book. The book gave nuance to the story and characters that the movie hadn't been able to include. I really enjoyed it and it's making the movie more fun for me as well.
