Suzie, Mark, Karlene, Gordy and Bella are sharing a house. They're all students in a busy hospital. When Suzie witnesses a car theft from a bathroom window she can't do anything to stop it. She feels terrible when she finds out the thief has caused a horrible accident. Her house mates are doing their very best to stand by her and to distract her. The first party the group is hosting at their home isn't going according to plan, because of an angry neighbor. Things are spiralling out of control and they're leaving Bella with a lot of guilt. She has to learn a valuable lesson after which she wants to make amends as quickly as possible. Karlene's got a patient who is getting too close and she needs to figure out how to deal with situations like that. Meanwhile they still haven't caught the car thief and he knows who's the key witness in his case...
City Hospital is a series about five students. They all have good characters, but they are young and they make mistakes. They all find themselves in new and sometimes difficult situations. What I liked best about this story that the writing style is fluent and quick, it's very vivid. When I read this story I felt like I was watching a film in my head. I loved that. I enjoyed reading about the busy hospital and the fast paced student life. There was never a boring moment. Things kept happening and I read this novella in one sitting, because I couldn't wait to find out what would happen. I look forward to reading the next part. In my opinion this series has a lot of potential.
