I'm a book nerd: 10 reasons why

1. I've always enjoyed reading difficult and complex stories.

2. I read classics for fun.

3. I can never spend enough time reading.

4. I don't care which genre I read as long as I have a book in my hands.

5. Whatever the weather is like as long as I have a book to read I'm happy.

6. I prefer books over films.

7. I can't go on holiday without a suitcase filled with books and an e-reader as my back up plan.

8. When I meet an author I'm star struck, but when I meet a television- or a movie star I don't even recognize them.

9. Every night I go to bed way too late because I want to finish my chapter. Then I start another to do the exact same thing. That happens over and over again.

10. I often dream in prose which is absolutely wonderful.

  1. Love this! Book nerds unite! ;) I stayed up WAY too late last night finishing The One & Only by Emily Giffin. But once you get to a certain point in that book, at least for me, it was impossible to put down and I had to finish it. I'm definitely feeling the lack of sleep now, but it's so worth it! I subscribe to the same notion that no matter what - if I have a good book waiting for me at the end of the day, I'm happy, too.

I really wish I could get into classics. I hope one day when I'm older, I'll have the patience for them. I have tried over the years and my attention span for a lot of them just isn't there. Maybe someday.

  3. Books like that are wonderful, but reading too many in a row isn't very wise... I can't put a book down if I'm too close to the end either. I just have to keep on reading to find out what happens.

I read a lot of classics at university and learned to read them. It's awfully hard work, but the reward is often great. They're not easy and relaxing reading material.
