Facts About Gina

It's time to share some new facts about one of the people I love. This time I've chosen to write a bit more about my dear friend Gina.

1. Gina's favorite book is Great Expectations. She loves to read classics and has a degree in art and literature. I think Gina's the smartest friend I've got.

2. Gina is two years older than I am. We've met in ballet class. We were both rubbish and Gina had been placed in my group because she danced too badly to train with the girls her age. I wasn't much better. We had so much fun that year we couldn't stop laughing which annoyed our teacher immensely. She kicked us out eventually, but then a strong bond had been formed.

3. Gina is a winter person. She loves snow and goes skiing and snowboarding every year. She's much better at it than at ballet.

4. My school friends used to be really jealous about me hanging out with Gina. She was one of the most popular girls in school and everyone adored her. They couldn't believe she liked me. Gina is a fierce, dark haired beauty. She's still cherished and in demand and I consider myself lucky to be one of her friends.

5. Gina's currently reading Tess of the d'Ubervilles by Thomas Hardy. She never lets anyone borrow her books, so if I want to give it a try I have to buy my own copy.

6. Gina has a brave no-nonsense personality. She's quite impulsive and often speaks before thinking. She can be really serious, but she has a great sense of humor.

7. Gina is an orphan and she has no brothers and sisters. Her only family is an aunt who lives in Australia.

8. My friend is unbelievably generous. When I was a poor student and didn't have enough cash for food in the last week of the month Gina let me eat with her every day. She also gave me clothes which she presented as hand-me-downs, but I often suspected she bought them for me and just cut off the labels.

 9. Gina has two daughters, they're twins and their names are Brenda and Audrey.

10. Gina and her daughters collect music boxes. This one from amazon is the latest addition to their collection.

  1. What a lovely post. Gina sounds like a cool person. Interesting story about how you met, both failing at ballet but enjoying it and each others company anyway! :) Fun read!
