The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris by Jenny Colgan

Mouth-watering recipes inside!

As dawn breaks over the Pont Neuf, and the cobbled alleyways of Paris come to life, Anna Trent is already awake and at work; mixing and stirring the finest, smoothest, richest chocolate; made entirely by hand, it is sold to the grandes dames of Paris.
It's a huge shift from the chocolate factory she worked in at home in the north of England. But when an accident changed everything, Anna was thrown back in touch with her French teacher, Claire, who offered her the chance of a lifetime - to work in Paris with her former sweetheart, Thierry, a master chocolatier.
With old wounds about to be uncovered and healed, Anna is set to discover more about real chocolate - and herself - than she ever dreamed.

I copied the above from Jenny Colgan's website. After a nasty accident Anna's life has been changed forever. With a little help from her former French teacher Claire she finds a job in a chocolate shop in Paris. The chocolaterie she's working at is a famous one and pretty soon she's getting to know her boss and his son pretty well.
The Loveliest Chocolate Shop in Paris has a very well chosen title, the book is just that, lovely. Who doesn't want to work in Paris with the most delicious chocolate anyone could ever imagine? Everything about this book is sweet and wonderful. I read it in one go and it put such a big smile on my face. I loved this book! I've read many of Jenny Colgan's books already and this one has been my absolute favorite so far.

  1. This book sounds completely lovely, I just love books that talk about food. And a coffee shop would have a perfect setting.
