The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks

They were teenage sweethearts from opposite sides of the tracks – with a passion that would change their lives for ever. But life would force them apart.

Years later, the lines they had drawn between past and present are about to slip . . . Called back to their hometown for the funeral of the mentor who once gave them shelter when they needed it most, they are faced with each other once again, and forced to confront the paths they chose. Can true love ever rewrite the past?

I borrowed the summary from Amazon. Dawson and Amanda loved each other when they were teenagers. Many years later, when their mutual friend Tuck suddenly passes away, they've got a chance to get to know each other again. Dawson's family members have always been a big problem in his life. Amanda comes from a rich family who didn't want her to date someone like Dawson. When they are reunited they're discovering each other again. Is there still something left of their teenage romance?
The Best of Me is a beautiful love story. It's also filled with sadness and somehow the atmosphere was tense. I felt on edge, like something was about to happen, the whole time. I really liked the main characters and kept hoping they would end up together. The Best of Me is another great romantic book by Nicholas Sparks.
